Let's Talk Laundry... Blog Hop

The laundry in this house never ends..... We have 6 family members so on average in 2 days thats:

12 pairs of pants
12 shirts
2 Undershirts (my husbands)
12 underwear
12 pairs of socks
4 PJ bottoms (PJ are washed generally every 2 days)
4 PJ tops
58 articles of clothing every 2 days is pretty much standard give or take...
Add to that (washed as needed)
5 Sets of sheets
6 Bath towels
Kitchen towels and rags...

You get the idea... I feel like I am drowning in a never ending pile of laundry...
Laundry, meals, brushing teeth, washing dishes, etc. The work never ends.

No News of any Excitment

Staying organized with 4 small kids is no small task... and projects are not really my thing, but this past week I did create a messaging center to keep up with our calendar and the kids school calendars. It has a cork board and a chalkboard. My Mom is soooo proud that I did a project given she is a regular Martha Stewart and queen of projects.

On another note, when the movie the Princess & Frog came out in theaters, Jerry and I had planned to take the triplets. We thought they were old enough to sit through a childrens movie in theaters. Well, we purchased a new home and the work never seemed to stop, so we didn't make it to the movies. The movie finally came out on DVD and we purchased it for a movie night at home. The kids were excited and sat still for a while.... we managed to get through the movie, but their attention span is still a little lacking.

Blog Hop... New Clothes for Triplets ADD UP!!!

On Tuesday, I hit Ross and Kohls and got the kids TONS of clothes (at GREAT prices). One bad thing about triplets is you don't hand down clothes. I could hand down from Jadon to Cody, but they are seasonally off and Cody is much larger than Jadon at the same age so their hand-me-downs aren't working out well. Anyway, the kids tried on all their clothes and were soooo excited. Jadon most liked his new overalls and I couldn't help but get some pictures.

Exhaustion Overload.....

It's the end of a good weekend, but I am exhausted (as usual). It floors me sometimes the amount of energy it takes to take care of and entertain these kiddos... From "I need a drink", to "I'm all done" (finished pooping), to "wipe my nose", to "I don't want to do (fill in the blank)". I am exhausted. I sit here trying to recall what we did yesterday because it feels like a million years ago... Ahhh yes!!! How could I forget!!!!! Shoes, oh, but that was after the air conditioner repair man left. We took the kids to Payless on a miserable rainy day. The initial reaction was chaos as they tried to contain the excitement exploding from every pore. Clearly we were about to loose control, so everyone was quickly ordered to SIT!!! Jerry then had to take Cody outside a minute, I'm not sure why. The girls first, we tried on shoes while Jadon bombarded me with "I need to measure my foot. I need to measure my foot. MOM, I need to measure my foot. I nnnneeeeedddd to measure my foot. MOOOMMMM...." Yea, Jerry came back and measured Jadon's foot. Now it's the boys turn. Foolish us, we turned our back on the girls for a minute and they started taking shoes out of boxes. Once again, everyone sit down!! We did manage to leave with 2 pairs of new shoes for each child. Fortunately, I've gotten to know the sales girl there pretty well and she took great care of us. Then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch. Kaylee tore the princess sticker she got at Payless, I had to listen to her moan about it throughout the meal. Jadon was once again unhappy and Cody started to fall asleep in his highchair so he was unhappy we wouldn't let him sleep (everyone naps at home at the same time for my sanity!!!!). Despite all the going on.... we didn't disturb anyone and had lunch. After naps, we dressed everyone for Church (decided to go Saturday night) and headed off to Mass. This is probably the most stressful hour of my week every week. Will they all behave for an hour.... this week was ok and we actually got a comment on how good they were. We then went to dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. Kaylee had a poo poo attack and flew out of her chair. We went to the bathroom and she was successful immediately. I held her hands so she wouldn't touch anything and held my breath. I can't believe that stench can come out of such a little girl. We hung out there at least 10 minutes with "Kaylee, are you done yet?" "No, Mom not yet." and she was right she wasn't done. Ahh, the joys of Motherhood. We finished dinner went home and put everyone to bed. Yea, 9:00 we are finally off duty. I think my fingers are tired just talking about Saturday.... Sunday has been just as hectic with a trip to the mall, lunch in the food court, making dinner, and all the meltdowns in between so it's off to bed for me!!!! test

Went to the Rodeo, but it was a ZOO!!

On Wednesday, we decided it might be fun to have Jerry take off work and load up the kids for a trip to the Rodeo. The "kiddie carnival" opened at 11 so our plan was to get up at our normal time and get there about 10:30. All went as planned until we got to the venue. Traffic was backed up and parking a nightmare. We found a spot close to the shuttle which was great. It was funny, they loaded up our quad stroller kids and all onto the shuttle. Upon arrival Jerry stood in line for ride tickets and I stood in line for a ride.... needless to say, we rode one ride since the lines just got longer and longer. We were able to squeeze in a camel ride (a real camel) which was cool. Addison and Jadon rode one and Kaylee, Cody, and myself rode the other. Lunch was a nightmare with lines and no seating.... Jadon was in a cranky mood... Again. But, we did get some food down. After that we headed over to the petting zoo. The kids LOVED it... I just wanted to wash everyone's hands which we did promptly upon leaving. Our last stop was a kiddie farmers market which was very cute. I pulled out the camera and took a few shots (posted below). On our way out we looked at all the show animals and got some cotton candy. It was an OK trip..... but WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE. It was the week of spring break which was a huge mistake on our part, live and learn.

I'm Loving Angels

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
May angels watch me through the night
And keep me in their blessed sight...

Counting Freckles

Right now, I know and can locate every freckle on each of my babies. They each just have a about one handful, but 5 freckles on 4 babies is 20 to keep up with and it seems more frequently a new little freckle appears and before long I will lose track of all those freckles. I will however, always remember the 1st freckle to appear on each one of those kids. When they are my age and older I will still look at those 1st freckles and remember them on the pure white snowy soft baby skin. I love watching them grow, but am sad from time to time as I watch them slowly turning from babies into precious children knowing I will never have these moments back again.

I am so thankful to God for the blessings in my life. I struggle to keep up with freckles and I am in awe at the depth and breadth of God's love. A God whose thoughts toward me outnumber the grains of sand on the beach.

"How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you” Psalms 139:17-18
