This morning Addison lost two front teeth (the little teeth between the eye teeth and main front teeth). She pretty much doesn't lose teeth, she has to have them pulled. To date she has only lost 3 teeth on her own and has had more than that pulled. For some reason the root never dissolves and the adult teeth can't come in.
I took all the kids to the orthodontist on Monday. They sent us a thank you card with a $5 Starbucks gift card... yes, I predict a lot of money being spent in their office. Kaylee has been in headgear for over a year now and Addison started hers Monday. Poor thing has developed huge canker sores where the braces are in back and she's having more trouble learning to sleep in her new device. In time she will settle into it all...
Needless to say... she LOVES getting teeth pulled. A little happy gas makes for a happy girl. I told her she can now sing, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth"

Lady of Guadalupe
Each year two kids from each classroom are chosen to participate in the Lady of Guadalupe Mass. This year Addison, Jadon and Cody each were able to dress and carry flowers to the feet of the Virgin Mary. They looked adorable!! Kaylee handled not being part of it all very well.... "no big deal" which was really quite a shock and not her personality.

We are the Champions!!
So proud... Cody and Kaylee's basketball team took the CHAMPIONSHIP!! Cody dominated as usual and even my Kaylee girl scored!! They had a super fun season with some outstanding coaches!!!
Every Saturday it rains, so our soccer players have not yet finished up the season... but I don't see a championship in their future.

Veteran's Day
My Dad is a retired Air Force F15 pilot (and Southwest Airline pilot), so Veteran's Day is special for us. The principal at the kids school is retired military and does an AMAZING job celebrating this day.
Men in uniform helped work the morning carline. We sang patriotic songs, attended a moving Mass and had a reception. The reception hall was decorated with military gear (including items from my Dad) and they served food along with a slideshow. OUTSTANDING JOB!! I hope the kids appreciate their PawPaw and his service.

Birthday Pic Follow-up
The kids had a fantastic birthday. A day or two before the birthday, Addison was raking leaves (for fun) and learned a valuable lesson... not to step on the end of a rake. It came up and whacked her in the head... huge goose egg!! We spend Saturday at Main Event (Jadon & Addison's choice of activities) and Sunday we went roller skating (Kaylee's choice). On Monday, my parents returned from their vacation and we all went to dinner at Mi Rancho.

Cody: "Poetic Justice"
Me: ????
What I want my children to learn....
I dreamt I had an interview with God. "Come in," God said. "So, you would like to interview Me?"
"If you have the time," I said.
God smiled and said: "My time is eternity and is enough to do everything; what questions do you have in mind to ask me?"
"What surprises you most about mankind?"
God answered:
- "That they get bored of being children, are in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.
- That they lose their health to make money and then lose their money to restore their health.
- That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live neither for the present nor the future.
- That they live as if they will never die, and they die as if they had never lived…"
God’s hands took mine and we were silent for a while and then I asked…"As a parent, what are some of life’s lessons you want your children to learn?"
God replied with a smile:
- "To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. What they can do is to let themselves be loved.
- To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives, but who they have in their lives.
- To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.
- To learn that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.
- To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.
- To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.
- To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but simply do not know how to express or show their feelings.
- To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.
- To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it totally differently.
- To learn that a true friend is someone who knows everything about them…and likes them anyway.
- To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven by others, but that they have to forgive themselves."
"To learn that I am here.... Always."
People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did,
but people will never forget
how you made them feel.
People will forget what you did,
but people will never forget
how you made them feel.

Halloween 2015
Super busy Saturday as we finished up basketball (Cody scored 10 pts. and Kaylee 4 pts.).... soccer was rained out again, and we rushed home and threw on costumes. Then a quick photo session before going over to my parents house for trick or treating. Fortunately, the weather cooperated and a great time was had by all.
Also... the boys got their haircut this week and Jadon no longer needed the booster seat.... I remember having to hold him down because he was so scared at the barber and now he is such a big boy.... *tears*
We finished up the evening at Buffalo Wild Wings and fell into bed!!!
