We've been testing how long Cody can go without Tylenol and Motrin and it appears 4 hours is about the limit before the fever returns. While we are glad we can control the fever and are no longer dealing with 106 degree fevers, we are anxious for answers and resolution. Thus far, the triplets are showing no signs of illness which is good, but also raises more questions.
Another scare.... last night we went to one of our favorite restaurants. The staff knows us well and when we go, we give each of the triplets a quarter so they can buy Mommy & Daddy's dinner. They LOVE giving the waitress their money. They are 3 1/2 years old and virtually every toy on the market is for 3 years and older, so we never thought about choking....
Addison had her quarter in her hand and inadvertently picked up green beans with the same hand and it all went in her mouth. The quarter was lodged in her throat. She was coughing, gagging, crying, reaching into her mouth in a PANIC!!!!! Jerry picked her up and began the Heimlich maneuver. Until we finally got the quarter out. I was terrified to tears and my mind continues to race with "WHAT IFS"... Warning to parents.... kids over three have toys with small parts. Don't let them have those small parts at the dinner table. Addison put that quarter in her mouth by accident... she told us repeatedly it was an accident, but from now on they will pay for our dinner with dollar bills.
Thanks be to God!!! Please keep Cody in your prayers that he is well soon.
