Should just make a bed for the Tooth Fairy

The Tooth Fairy has made 4 visits to our house since August 13th (including tonight) and I expect another visit tomorrow... and yet another not long after that.

Kaylee Tooth Count: 4 (with one hanging by a thread)
She has lost her 2 front bottom and 2 front top and I expect another bottom tooth to bite the dust tomorrow.  Currently, she is missing her top front teeth.

Jadon Tooth Count: 4
He has lost his 2 front bottom and 2 front top (one he lost tonight).  Currently, he is missing his top front teeth.

Addison Tooth Count: 0
Poor Addison is patiently waiting to lose her 1st tooth, but I expect it to happen soon.  Her lower front adult tooth is coming in behind the baby tooth... so it shouldn't be long!!

Cody Tooth Count: 0
Well, he just turned 5... a little soon to be losing teeth.

Super Star!

Today,  Addison came home with a "Super Bee Award" for good behavior for the week and Jadon and Kaylee got to go to treasure box for good behavior.  Kaylee got some green head boingers and Jadon got a dragon you put in water and it grows.  I loved that they each congratulated each other!!

Cody came home from school asleep, so I don't know how his day was yet.

Grown Up Celebrity Look Like???

I can't help but wonder all the time what my kids might look like when they grow up.  Well, one day my Mom tried to pick the kids grown up celebrity look-a-likes and this is what we came up with... (whether we like the celebrity personalities or not)...

(Jadon / Matthew McConaughey) -  Curly unkempt hair, smiling eyes, tall and lean body type

(Cody / Tom Cruise) - straight dark hair, strong jaw, down turned eyes & great brows

(Addison / Catherine Zeta Jones) - Classically beautiful, perfect features and pretty mouth

(Kaylee / Jennifer Love Hewitt) - Girl next door beauty, upturned cute nose, and gorgeous big brown eyes.

Planes, trains, automobiles and mountains

Back in April.... yes, April....  I've needed to blog this for a long time.....

We took the kids to Colorado to ski!  It was their first time to fly and I was so excited to see their reaction to flying, but they were most interested in Mulan playing on the TV.

They got to ride the airport trains from terminal to terminal which they loved.... and we rented a car to drive up the mountain to their next first... SNOW!!!!!!!

It was snowing like crazy all the way up the mountain and when we reached Breckenridge, the snow was soft and powdering so we went out for a snowball fight (gotta check out the video)!  MAGIC!!!!!

The next couple days the kids hung out at ski school while Jerry and I hit the mountain and brushed up on our skills, but finally the kids were ready to join us!!

I was a nervous wreck with them up on the chair lifts and it started off pretty rough getting down the mountain with all of them, but we finally got in a groove.

The 1st time down the mountain, I was the leader... but hated it!!!  Jerry was a back seat driver and I never knew if someone had fallen or not... miserable!!!

The next run, I took the back.... so when a child fell down, I rushed to the rescue and got them back on their feet and we were off again!!!  The back was a lot of work since I was picking up kids and dragging kids over the flat stretches, but I didn't mind and loved working with them!!  I was truly amazed at how well they did!!!  They are awesome little skiers!!! (gotta check out the video)!

It truly was an incredible vacation!!!!  On the way home, I had complete laryngitis and was trying to get  4 kids through the airport with literally no voice and Jadon lost a tooth while we were turning in our car at the rental place.

Teeth, School and Funeral

Last Wednesday the kids started back at school!!  The triplets are now in 1st grade and Cody is repeating Pre-K 4, but at a new school.  We moved him from the PreSchool to the triplets school this year so they are all together and on the same drop off and pick up schedule (woo hoo).

The night before school started, Kaylee lost her 1st top tooth so we had another visit from the lovely tooth fairy.  This evening, Kaylee lost her other top front tooth (and looks adorable with them both gone), so now she is singing "All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth".

Addison, has devised a plan to catch the tooth fairy.  She wants to hide under Kaylee's bed, put her tooth in a jar and when the fairy goes in the jar to retrieve the tooth, she will put a lid on it and catch her.... but just long enough to take her picture.  She doesn't want all the other kids to not get money for their teeth.

On a sad note, the priest at our Church passed away over the weekend.  School was cancelled today to allow students and families to attend the funeral and children were asked to wear their school uniforms. It was the kids first funeral and to be honest, they thought it was just another Mass.  There was a huge turnout and was very impressive.  His family is in our prayers.
