A Day in Our House

A Day in Our Life... (THIS IS JUST A ROUGH SKETCH... NO TWO DAYS ARE THE SAME!!!!)

- Jerry wakes at 5:30; leaves for work about 6:00
- I wake at 6:00 shower, brush teeth, make-up, and dress
- 6:45 make 4 sippy cups of Carnation Instant Breakfast (my kids need calories) and make 4 packs of oatmeal and set out their Flintstone vitamins
- 7:00 wake the kids
- 7:15 to 7:30 feed the kids
- Usually unload the dishwasher (I've started cooking).... and load breakfast dishes
- 7:30 to 8:00 make all the beds and get everyone's clothes for the day
- About 8:00 coax all the kids to go potty before dressing and change Cody's diaper
- Dress all the kids
- May start a load of laundry (trying to do a load a day)
- 8:15ish, brush the kids teeth
- 8:30ish... the troops arrive (My Mom's comes over)
- Sit and catch up with Mom a while
- Anywhere between 9:00 and 10:30ish we decide what we want to do and put on everyone's shoes
- Load kids in the car for outing (grocery store, Walmart, the Gym, etc.)
- Home by 12:00 to make lunch. Usually, Grilled cheese or quesadilla for Jadon, Kaylee, & Cody and a turkey sandwich on toast for Addison with a fruit and/or vegetable. Or Eggs with toast and a fruit and/or vegetable.
- 12:30ish, clean up 4 lunch plates, kitchen, kids and mess made by kids.
- 12:45ish, coax all kids to go potty before naps
- 1:00 YEAH!!!!! Naps. They have a two hour minimum. Mom goes home.
- 1:00 to 3:00 MOMMY TIME!!!!! What I do varies, but usually relax , meal plan, or do paperwork (bills etc.)
- Anywhere from 3:00 to 4:00 kids wake up
- 4:00 usually start dinner
- 4:45 to 5:00 Jerry gets home from work and keeps the kids out of the kitchen
- 5:00 to 6:00 Dinner is usually served
- 6:00 to 6:30ish, start cleaning up the kitchen and run the dishwasher
- 6:30 to 7:45, time with the kids
- 7:45 Send everyone upstairs and we start baths... Jerry washes. I turn down beds, get clean underwear & PJs, dress them.
- 8:15, read nite nite books
- 8:30 tuck everyone into bed!!!!!!
- 8:30 pick up sippy cups and toys (Jerry makes PB&J for next day's breakfast).
- 9:00 watch TV either upstairs or in bed
- 10:00 to 10:30 Lights out.... another day is done....
